Who We Are
Kawartha Lakes Pathways to Health Committee Members & Core Volunteers

The Kawartha Lakes Pathways to Health Committee includes the following members (listed alphabetically):

  • John Baldry is a retired outdoor education teacher and a cast member in the SAGES (Slow and Gentle Exercise for Seniors) video produced by City of Kawartha Lakes Community Care and Veterans Affairs Canada.

  • Lisa Kaldeway is a staff member of the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit Health Unit staff who is involved with the Health for Life community project, and who has a professional and personal passion for physical activity through trail use.

  • Allen "Al" MacPherson is a retired professor of Sir Sandford Fleming College and a current part-time professor at Trent University in Peterborough

  • Jake Formsma is the Park Superintendent of Emily Lake Provincial Park (Ontario Parks, Ministry of Natural Resources) and former Park Superintendent of Shorthills Provincial Park in St. Catherines.

  • Phil Lapenna is the leader of organized trail walking club run through the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Department. Phil can be seen on foot all over town.

  • Phil Mayville is an avid walker in the Bobcaygeon community and a retired Sir Sandford Fleming College administrator.

  • Steve McCullough is an avid cyclist and walker in the Fenelon Falls community and an advocate for supportive environments for cycling and walking. Steve also owns his own recording studio.

  • Neil Steffler is a Professor in the Parks and Forest Recreation Program at Sir Sandford Fleming College.
