Kawartha Lakes ... It's in Our Nature

The trailsforhealth.ca web site features trails found within the City of Kawartha Lakes, located on the western side of the Kawarthas in Central Ontario, 90 minutes northeast of Toronto. Breathe in the fresh air as you hike, cycle or ski our extensive network of trails, including the Victoria Rail Trail which has many kilometres of uninterrupted stretches of trail. With over 250 lakes, waterways and rivers linked by the scenic Trent-Severn Waterway, there's an array of recreational choices for canoeists, kayakers and anglers.

When you're not out on the trails or waterways, enjoy theatre and music in our historic Academy Theatre for Performing Arts, and stroll through the award winning parks. Our charming communities celebrate their culture and heritage year round at agricultural fairs, seasonal festivals and events. Visit five Trent-Severn Waterway lock stations traversing 105 km of waterway from Bobcaygeon to Kirkfield. At the end of the day you can pamper yourself at an exquisite inn or resort, or get back to nature and stay at a quaint waterfront cottage. Regardless of how long you visit us, there's plenty to see and do in our natural four seasons outdoor playground.
