Welcome to trailsforhealth.ca

Welcome to trailsforhealth.ca, your online source for information about recreational trails and active living in the City of Kawartha Lakes (Ontario, Canada).

Regular physical activity is an important part of good health. The goal of this web site, created as part of the Pathways to Health initiative in the City of Kawartha Lakes, is to help our friends, neighbours and visitors achieve the health benefits of an active lifestyle. By providing information on active living and by making our recreational trails easier to find and use, we are encouraging people in our community to become more physically active.

You may be surprised to learn that the City of Kawartha Lakes is home to over 150 kilometres of year-round recreational trails. Scattered all over the region, these trails provide lots of opportunities for people of all ages to make exercise a part of their daily routine. Whether you are interesting in walking, hiking, jogging, running, cross county skiing, in-line skating, cycling, snowshoeing or horseback riding, you'll find a trail in the City of Kawartha Lakes that's right for you.

Please explore our web site and join the trailsforhealth.ca community!
